Intensity Camps were created by Coach Allen to assist athletes in developing mental toughness and skill building.

One Pass Ahead Intensity Camps are designed to shock the system so when moments get tough in a competition, camp athletes are able to draw on the tough situations they have gone through in training.

  • Location : South Surrey
  • Ages : 9 to 18 yrs
  • Skill Level : Intermediate, Advanced
  • Gender : Girls and Boys
  • Duration : 5 days x 3 hours/day
  • Time : 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

6 Areas of Focus

  1. Ball Handling
  2. 1 on 1 Moves- creating your own shot and getting to the free throw line
  3. Teaching 5 on 5 and perimeter based offense adding screen action and read and react
  4. Intense Workouts- Jump Program, Core Program and Upper Body Strengthening
  5. Mental Toughness- worksheets, daily planning integrating academics, weight training, shooting and practices
  6. Shooting- creating your own shot, proper form and technique, shooting programs and shooting contests

Registration

Pre-Season Ball  is for players who are looking to get an edge on the competition prior to the start of their high school season. One Pass Ahead Pre-Season Ball training begins in mid September twice a week. The focus is solely on shooting, finishing and offensive fast break. All teams play in leagues so game experience and training assist in long term athlete development.


Elite Grade 11 - 12
Train twice per week from September to November
Play in Sunday league in Seattle area.
Play 2 games per Sunday and usually 5 Sundays for 10 games 
Coached by our top coaches. Also integrate shooting and ball handling programs to be completed on own

Elite Black Grade 8-10
Train twice per week til November
Play in Sunday league in Seattle area.
Play 2 games per Sunday and usually 5 Sundays for 10 games
Coached by our top coaches. Also integrate shooting and ball handling programs to be completed on own

Elite White Grade 5 -7
Train twice per week from September to March
Play in Sunday league at Langley Event Center
Play 1 game per Sunday in metro league
Coached by our OPA university player coaches Also integrate shooting and ball handling programs to be completed on own

Spring break camps are designed to teach athletes their respective sports in a fun competitive nature. The coaching is top notch centered around teaching fundamentals. Defense, Discipline and Dedication are the three main building blocks we strive for.

Each day camps start with motivational talks led by the coaches and end with athletes totally excited about their new friends and new skills. Each day topics are focused on training that is necessary on getting the cutting edge before going into next school season.

The goal of Spring Break Camps is to keep athletes busy, productive and improving for the total time. Athletes are given self managed programs to take home to so they can keep working on their new learned disciplines for long term improvement. 

All our coaches are past players who have experienced what it takes to get to the next level.

University Camps are designed for student athletes and parents who want to take their game to the next level. Coach Allen coached at the professonal level, university level, club level and highschool level.

Through these years he has had over 20 players move onto professional careers. From the highschool level he helped and coached players like: Kyle Wilson UMass Div 1, Tyler Kepkay Utah Div 1 and Robert Sacre Gonazaga- LA Lakers. His experiences will be shared on what it takes and how these athletes got to the top level.

One Pass Ahead Director

Scott has coached basketball for 25 years and has an overall record of 640 wins and 210 losses. He coached the Under 17 Provincial Team for B.C. He is certified to Level III and is a Course Conductor for Basketball B.C. Scott was recently honored with the B.C. Coaching award of excellence and was Head Coach for the All Canada ADIDAS game. Scott is the winning-est active coach in B.C. history at the BC 'AAA' Provincial Championships. Scott also coached the Senior Girls Volleyball winning the ‘A’ Girls Volleyball Championships two years in a row. At AAA the team won the AAA Fraser Valley and finishing 2nd in the province. Scott is a former Trinity Western University head coach who lead the team to their first ever CIS National Silver Medal.

One Pass Ahead Coach
Elle attended Elgin Park Secondary and was one of the top players in British Columbia coming out of high school having led her team to a provincial championship. The former provincial team player would accept a scholarship to Seattle University where she would play four years for the Redhawks with the last three as a starter. She was selected to play on the 2011 Development Women’s National Team which played at the World University Games in China. In her senior season as captain she averaged 8.8 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 2.9 apg and 1.3 spg in 31 mpg for a 20-12 team. She would take a year off to before starting her pro career in Belgium with DBC Houthalen. Elle now is looking forward to passing on her experiences to young girls and making an impact on their lives on and off the court.

One Pass Ahead Coach

Tyus Allen is one of our newest and brightest young coaches.  Tyus had an illustrious highschool career at WRCA as in his last 3 years he led his team at the point to a BC Provincial Championship plus a silver and a bronze.  Along with that in his Gr 12 year he was a First Team All Star or MVP in every tournament. Tyus made a tough choice after highschool and followed his father to TWU. There he was a 2 year starter and led the team in assists.  Tyus brings a passioned intensity to the sideline and his work ethic should be contagious and encouraging for aspiring younger players.
